The University of the Philippines-Diliman (UPD) and the University of San Carlos (USC) Phil-LiDAR 1 Programs, along with the Cebu Provincial Government through the Cebu Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) invite you as one of the keynote speakers of the Philippine National LiDAR Conference 2017 on January 18-20, 2017 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City.
The conference will bring together students, members of the academe, government agencies, professional organizations, geomatics practitioners and other stakeholders from all over the Philippines to share insights on the current development and application of light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technology in the country. With the theme “On the Cutting Edge: Geospatial Technology at the Forefront of Disaster Risk Reduction and Natural Resource Management of the Philippines”, the conference aims to reach out not only to the disaster risk reduction and natural resource management stakeholders, which have been the targets of the Phil-LiDAR 1 and Phil-LiDAR 2 Programs, respectively, but also to other stakeholders in order to open more possibilities in the use of LiDAR dataset to achieve more sustainable plans and programs for the country.
